Terriers Compete at Crimson Elite Meet

BOSTON –
  Prior to Saturday's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White competition, several members of the men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Crimson Elite Meet hosted by Harvard on Friday. The Terriers went up against several division I schools including Syracuse, Mississippi State, Harvard, Albany and George Mason.
 
BU had several strong performances including senior Cameron Nurse, who matched his personal best time in the 60m dash (7.00). On the women's side, senior Tehya Noell qualified for the finals of the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.47, which is the top 60m hurdles time in the Patriot League this season.
 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES 
  • Cameron Nurse competed in the 60m dash prelims and finished 10th with a time of 7.00, matching his personal best.
  • Jason Biesma competed in the pole vault and finished sixth with a vault of 4.35 meters (14' 3.25").
  • On the women's side Tehya Noell qualified for the finals of the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.47, which is the top 60m hurdles time in the Patriot League this season. In the finals, Noell took fourth with a time of 8.52.
  • In the field, Ebony Brown finished 15th in the 60m dash with a time of 7.82, just missing her personal best of 7.81.
