Stanford Invitational Results | Florida Relays Results | George Davis Invitational Results
The Boston University women’s track & field team competed at three different events this past weekend. The Terriers sent athletes to the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla., and the George Davis Invitational in Lowell, Mass.
At the Florida Relays, sophomore Monica Adler turned in a fourth-place showing in the 1500m run, finishing with a time of 4:22.29. Junior Allison Barwise also had a fourth-place finish, as she hit a mark of 1.75m in the high jump. Barwise was part of the 4x100m shuttle hurdle team that placed fifth (58.19). She was joined by classmates Nikko Brady, Catherine Milledge and Julia Mirochnick.
Senior Shelby Walton finished 16th in the 200m dash (24.05) and 19th in the 100m dash (11.73). Milledge (14.50) and Brady (14.55) both ran in the 100m hurdles, while Mirochnick completed the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.36. The Terriers also competed in both the 4x200m relay and the 4x400m relay.
At the Stanford Invitational, sophomore Rosa Moriello finished ninth in the 5000m run, completing the race with a time of 16:11.61.
BU also enjoyed success at the George Davis Invitational. Sophomores Sarah Dillard (12.59m) and Chelsea Curry (12.16m) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the shot put. Dillard also did well in the discus, as she placed third with a throw of 39.68m. Curry then joined Dillard in the top 10 of the hammer throw standings, as Curry was sixth (45.45m) and Dillard was 10th (43.00m).
Also in field events, Sophomore Alex Tomasi was 10th in the high jump with a mark of 1.50m.Sophomore Betsy Bartlett was 11th in the pole vault (2.90m) while her classmate, Chelsey Hanson, placed seventh in the triple jump.
On the track, Junior Marita Stressenger finished fourth in the 3000m steeplechase (11:09.24). Freshman Victoria Perez placed seventh in the 400m hurdles (1:06.20). Freshman Ashli Tagoai placed 12th in the 1500m run (4:54.23).
