CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Kristyna Pavlickova of the Boston University women's golf team has been recognized as a National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar as announced by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) on Friday.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, as the minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
Pavlickova, a rising sophomore at BU, completed her freshman campaign with a 3.50 GPA as a Business Administration and Management major. The Prague native also had a successful year on the course, as she claimed the individual title at the Sacred Heart Invitational last October and also placed first at the Hartford Invitational in April.
Pavlickova was BU's top golfer at the MAAC Championships, as she finished in a tie for fifth place. She was also named the MAAC Rookie of the Year. Last month, she became the BU golfer to compete in a European Tour event when she was invited to the 2012 Prague Golf Masters.
