BOSTON - The Boston University women's soccer team volunteered at the East Boston World Cup, an event held by the Soccer Without Borders program on Monday, Feb. 18. The event was held at the Salesian Boys and Girls Club.
Soccer Without Borders' mission is to use soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing underserved youth a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion and personal success. The year-round development program operates in underserved areas in the United States and abroad while providing programming to youth who are traditionally excluded from sports-based and extracurricular activities.
The Terriers assisted with running the event and coaching the teams competing in the tournament.
