BOSTON - Looking to regain possession of the Arlett Cup which it last won in 2011, No. 11 Boston University men's rowing lost their varsity eight race against No. 8 Northeastern on Saturday morning on the Charles River.

Coxed by junior Justin Rau and stroked by classmate Moritz Franz, the Terriers' varsity eight finished 12 seconds behind Northeastern's V8, which was the second top 10 ranked boat the Terriers have faced in as many weeks.

The Terriers and Huskies have battled for the Arlett Cup since 1978 with Northeastern having now won 11 of the last 13 races. In 2011, BU snapped the Huskies' three-race win streak before losing the cup last year by 1.7 seconds.

BU will next face No. 17 Dartmouth on Saturday, April 20 at The DeWolfe Boathouse.
