CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Eleven Boston University athletes were named to the Patriot League Cross Country Academic Honor Roll, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Seven members of the women's team and four members of the men's squad were among the 226 honorees. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
The women's squad was led by sophomore Shelby Stableford, who was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team in November. Other honorees include seniors Monica Adler and Nikki Long, sophomores Rachel Lotterman, Katie Sexton and Michelle Sumner, and junior Ashli Tagoai.
Seniors Michael Caputo and Tom Waterman were named to the men's squad along with junior Alex Civitano and sophomore Paul Gennaro.
Of the 11 Terriers that were recognized, six had a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher. While this is the first year in the Patriot League, six of the seven women and two of the four men were selected to a conference academic honor roll last year.
