LEWISBURG, Pa. - The BU women's swimming and diving team beat both Bucknell and George Washington in its first double dual meet of the season at Kinney Auditorium on Saturday afternoon. The Terriers totaled 424 points against the Bisons and Colonials to stay perfect on the season.
The Terriers dominated in the freestyle events, sweeping the top-four in the 500 and the top-three in the 1000. Sarah Hargrave, Stephanie Nasson and Grace Anderson finished first, second, and third in both events while Kaitlin Law took fourth in the 500.
BU also swept the top-three in the 100 and 200 freestyle. In the 100, Lauren Dixon, Isabella Olivares and Alexsa Savage finished in that order while Mika Spencer took first place in the 200 followed by Dixon in second and Nasson in third. Olivares and Savage also finished in first and second, respectively in the 50 freestyle.
Rounding out a dominant freestyle performance was a win and a third-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay.
In the 200 butterfly, Cece Simpson and Avery Visser took first and second. Visser also won the 100 butterfly and Katie Kenney finished behind her in second place.
Lizzie Tillo earned her second career victory in the 1-meter diving event while taking second in the 3-meter. Kalli Roebelen won the 3-meter event to sweep the women's diving events.
Danielle Yoon grabbed some points with a second place finish in the 100 backstroke and a win in the 200 IM while Nikki Bookwalter earned her second career win in the 200 backstroke.
