CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Sophomore Jill Horka of the Boston University women’s lacrosse team earned the Rockin Refuel Performance of the Week honor by the Patriot League after helping the Terriers record a pair of conference wins last week.
Horka and the Terriers topped Holy Cross, 8-6, on March 19, in their home opener before traveling to Annapolis, Md., to face No. 14/19 Navy. BU upset the Mids, 9-8, to end Navy’s 15-game Patriot League winning streak and hand the team its first loss of the season.
The Westborough, Mass., native recorded four goals and a pair of assists in BU’s two games last week including the eventual game-winner against Navy. She was honored by the Patriot League for her performance by receiving her first Midfield Player of the Week award on Monday.
