After crushing four home runs and batting .556 to help the Boston University softball team win all five games, senior Brittany Clendenny has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week. In total, she went 10-of-18 with nine RBIs, five runs scored and a staggering 1.222 slugging percentage.
The Gainesville, Va., native started off with a two-run blast in a 7-4 victory against Rhode Island on Tuesday. She followed up with a pair of two-run homers in Saturday's 10-1 victory against Lafayette and then hit a solo shot to send the second game with the Leopards to extra innings.
Her defense at shortstop was also impressive, as she contributed in a combined 16 outs to help the Terriers snap Harvard's 18-game win streak and extend their own win streak to 10 games, the program's longest since 2008.
