JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Rich Peters of the Boston University men's track & field team advanced to the NCAA Championships in the 1,500m run on Saturday night at the University of North Florida.
Competing in the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Track and Field Preliminary Championships, Peters posted a time of 3:45.39 to finish second in his heat and earn an automatic spot in the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, on June 11-14. This is the third straight year that Peters has advanced to the NCAA Championships; he is a two-time USTFCCCA All-America selection, including a first-team nod in 2012.
Peters is one of three Terriers that will compete in Eugene, as Rosa Moriello (5,000m run) and Allison Barwise (high jump) also advanced thanks to strong performances this weekend.
