BOSTON - After a rain-soaked first day of practice, the Boston University men's soccer team held two sessions in perfect conditions on Thursday. Head coach Neil Roberts, who is entering his 30th season leading the Terriers, welcomed back 22 letter winners.

Top returners include 2013 All-Patriot League Second Team honoree Dominique Badji, who led the Terriers with a personal-best six goals last season, and 2011 America East Defender of the Year Kelvin Madzongwe, who has only played a combined 11 games the last two years due to injury. Badji will serve as co-captain alongside senior Jordan Barker, who had four assists last season. The Terriers also welcome 13 newcomers.

BU's training schedule consists of two practices a day in preparation for the upcoming season. The Terriers will compete in two scrimmages, starting with a home game against New Hampshire on Sunday (Aug. 17) at 7 p.m. They will then visit Babson on Saturday (Aug. 23) at 5 p.m.

The regular season will begin on Friday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. against Fordham.

BU will open the Patriot League contest against Navy on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. An alumni game will be held earlier in the day at 3:30 p.m.
