Highlighted by several strong performances on both the track and in the field, Boston University men's track & field team competed in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday at the Track and Tennis Center.
Sophmore Cameron Williams ran 6.98 in the 60m dash and 21.22 in the 200m dash, taking 8th and 6th place in the events respectively. Williams set the school record for the 200m earlier this season with a mark of 21.18.
Junior David Lagerberg also turned in two top-10 finishes with 47.66 for the 400m and 21.59 in the 200m taking 5th and 8th in the events. In the 3000m junior Kevin Thomas ran a personal best 7:57.82 to take 5th place overall. That mark moves Thomas up to the 5th ranked Terrier all time at the 3000m distance. School record holder also Rich Peters turned in a season best 3:59.58 mile.
The Terriers also had a lot of success in the field events, highlighted by three top-10 finishes. David Oluwadara took 4th place in the long jump with a mark of 7.18m, Ethan Knight placed 7th in the shot put with a 16.64m, and Reuben Horace took 3rd place in the weight throw with a mark of 19.09m - each of the marks good for season bests.
