Two Terriers Named to All-Patriot League Rowing Team

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Two members of the Boston University women's rowing team earned All-Patriot League distinction for their performances at the PL Championship last week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Claire Richer of Barnstable, Mass. was named to the first team All-Patriot League after being named to the second team last season. Senior Cydney Marks-Nicholes of Seattle, Wash. was named second team all league for the first time.

"I am grateful to have coached Claire and Cydney," said director of women's rowing Stacey Rippetoe. "These honors are well-earned recognition of their years of hard work, resilience, and leadership. Claire and Cydney always helped to move the team forward."

The two seniors helped the Terriers to a fourth-place finish at last week's Patriot League Championships in Cherry Hil, N.J. after advancing all three of its boats to the grand finals. BU won 2 bronze medals on their way to earning 39 team points.

PL Champion Navy lead all schools with seven All-Patriot League selections followed by PL runner-up Bucknell, who had four All-PL rowers. Boston University, Georgetown and Holy Cross each had two while MIT had one honoree.
