May 21, 2015

BOSTON - After her first season at Boston University, assistant women's basketball coach Taj McWilliams-Franklin is leaving the program and has accepted a position at Post University as the head coach of the Eagles.

The 13-year WNBA veteran and six-time WNBA All-Star will be running her own program for the first time in her career. Prior to her year at BU, McWilliams-Franklin served as an assistant coach at Rice University and with the WNBA's New York Liberty.

"Taj is a legend in women's basketball and our student-athletes have gained so much from her time here at BU--her wisdom, compassionate care and knowledgeable guidance have been invaluable," BU head coach Katy Steding said. "I know that she will lead the program at Post University to great things and their players will reap the benefit of her knowledge and experience. On behalf of our staff and team, we wish her the best and we will be cheering for the Eagles."
