Parker Records 100th Point at Northeastern

BOSTON - Graduate student Mary Parker collected her 100th career point, but the Boston University women's ice hockey team suffered a 6-2 setback at Northeastern on Tuesday night at Matthews Arena.

GOAL-BY-GOAL
- Northeastern opened the scoring at the 4:10 mark of the first period, but freshman Natasza Tarnowski answered just over three minutes later when she knocked home a rebound following a shot from senior Samantha Sutherland.
- The Huskies scored the first thre goals of the second stanza before Parker answered with her sixth goal of the season and 100th career point. She too capitalized on a loose puck at the crease.
- BU pressured well in the final frame, but Northeastern made it 5-2 at the 12:52 mark of the period before a last-second empty-netter secured the scoreline.
GAME NOTES
- Freshman Deziray De Sousa recorded her first collegiate point with an assist on Tarnowski's goal.
- Juniors Victoria Bach and Nina Rodgers both assisted on Parker's strike.
- Parker now has six five goals over the last three games. For her career, she has 49 goals and 51 assists.
- Junior Erin O'Neil made 32 saves for the Terriers.
- The Terriers held Northeastern to a 1-of-7 mark on the power play in a penalty-plagued affair.
