NEW HAVEN, Conn. -
Senior Adela Cejnarova
's second-round 69 highlighted a rain-shortened Yale Intercollegiate this weekend at The Course at Yale.
Scheduled for three days and 54 holes, the 19-team field played two rounds before rain forced the cancellation of play on Sunday. BU finished 14th with a total of 602 (311-291).
The Terriers' lowest round of the season came thanks in part to Cejnarova's strong performance. She sank four birdies and an eagle for her third career 69 and second such score at Yale. Cejnarova was tied for 10th individually with a 144 (75-69).
In addition to Cejnarova's superb showing, junior Phyllis Tang
recorded four birdies on Saturday to shoot 72 and finish the weekend with a 149 (77-72). Sophomore Megan Carter
carded a 75 on Saturday to secure a 154 (79-75). All five players who scored for the Terriers had a round in the 70s on Saturday, as freshmen Zhangcheng Guo
(80-75--155) and Abby Parsons
(81-78--159) also had a terrific day. Freshman Saeros Oskarsdottir
played as an individual and shot a 161 (80-81).
BU led the field Saturday with 13 birdies and was the only school to shoot even par or better on the par-3s. The Terriers will conclude their fall schedule at the College of Charleston Invitational, which begins Oct. 23.
