CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -
After helping lead the Boston University women's tennis team to 7-0 sweeps over both Army West Point and Lehigh, senior Johanna Hyoty has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Earning her fourth honor of the season, Hyoty captured a pair of straight-set victories at No. 1 singles against Army West Point’s Carolyn Pitman and Lehigh’s Christina Auyeung and went 4-0 this weekend for the Terriers.
A two-time PL Player of the Year, she first paired up with teammate Sabrina Faybyshev at the top doubles flight against the Black Knights and won 7-5 before defeating Pitman 7-5, 6-2. The next day, she once again partnered with Faybyshev and defeated the Mountain Hawks No. 1 doubles duo 6-2 and then completed her weekend with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Auyeung.
