Terriers Complete Day One of PL Championships

DAY 1 RESULTS

BETHLEHEM, PA - The Boston University men's track & field team competed on the first day of the Patriot League Championships at Lehigh University on Friday.
 
The day was highlighted by the Terriers taking the top three spots in the 200m dash prelims. All-American senior Cameron Williams finished first with a time of 20.98 and was followed by senior Cameron Nurse (21.37) and freshman Chiebuka Onwuzurike (21.48) with all three advancing to Saturday's final.
 
FRIDAY'S TOP FINISHES

• Senior Justin Flynn finished second in the 100m dash prelims with a time of 10.67 to advance to Saturday's finals. Also advancing to the 100m finals was senior Cameron Williams (third – 10.72), junior Cameron Nurse (fourth – 10.83) and freshman Chiebuka Onwuzurike (eighth – 10.95).
•  BU took the top three spots in the 200m dash prelims. Senior Cam Williams finished first with a time of 20.98 and was followed by senior Cameron Nurse (21.37) and freshman Chiebuka Onwuzurike (21.48) with all three advancing to Saturday's final.
•  Freshman Brett Davidson finished fourth in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 30:44.55 to earn BU five team points.
• The BU 4x800m relay team finished fifth in Friday's finals with a time of 7:46.29 to earn four points.

CURRENT STANDINGS

• The BU men are in fifth place after Day 1 with 21 points behind leader Navy with 67 points, Bucknell (47), Army (38) and Lehigh (25).

STILL TO COME
 
• Saturday will feature a full day of events beginning at 9 a.m. with the final five events of the decathlon and concluding with the women's 4x400m final at 5:15 p.m.
