Riding a two-match win streak, the Boston University men's tennis team will complete its home schedule on Sunday against St. Francis Brooklyn and Fairfield.
The Terriers will first begin with doubles action at 10 a.m. against the other Terriers and will then begin play against the Stags at 3 p.m. Last weekend at the Track and Tennis Center, BU posted 7-0 wins over Siena and Southern New Hampshire.
Freshmen Pete Siozios
, David Bogatin
and Ethan Kolsky
all won two matches apiece in singles action. Classmate Owen Lu
also collected a win to lead BU this season with 11 singles victories, one ahead of Bogatin, Siozios and sophomore Marc Sable
St. Francis Brooklyn (1-4) will be facing its third Patriot League opponent of the season after suffering a 4-3 loss at Loyola Maryland and 7-0 defeat to Navy. Visiting Boston College on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., SFC claimed its lone win against Rider (5-2) back in October.
Fairfield is 1-2 this season following last week's 7-0 loss at Brown. Back in the fall, the Stags clamed a 7-0 win over Rider and were edged at Hofstra, 4-3.
Last season at home, Fairfield won the top three singles matches, but BU prevailed by capturing the doubles point and singles points at slots 4-6 to escape with a 4-3 victory. BU posted a 5-2 win at the TTC in 2016 in another hard-fought match featuring two tiebreakers in doubles and three three-set singles contests.
