Over the weekend, Boston University women's tennis senior team captain Iryna Kostirko
participated in Boston University's 145th commencement exercises.
A four-time All-Patriot League honoree, Kostirko graduated from Sargent College with a bachelors in health science. The Mississauga, Ontario, native will next head to Georgetown in August to start her master's program in physiology and biophysics.
Kostirko wrapped up her collegiate career with a third first team honor back in April. She collected 16 singles wins this year with wins against the top players from Harvard, Maryland, Memphis, Army West Point, Navy and Lehigh. In doubles, she earned nine wins at line 2 with freshman freshman Emily Kim
. Some of their key victories came against Brown, UConn, Army and Lehigh.
Overall, she finished with 106 career wins for the Terriers with 57 in singles action and 49 in doubles.
