Terrier Twelve - #12: Women’s Soccer Standouts

For the 11th straight year, GoTerriers.com will once again count down the top 12 achievements of Boston University teams and student-athletes from the previous year. Check back each Tuesday and Friday as we reveal this year's Terrier Twelve.

Kicking off things at No. 12 in this year's Terrier 12 is a pair of women's soccer standouts in Rachel Bloznalis and Anna Heilferty.

The duo accounted for half of this season's major Patriot League awards, as Bloznalis repeated as the Defender of the Year and Heilferty was named the league's Rookie of the Year.

Additionally, the pair made their mark on the national stage. Bloznalis was one of 30 student-athletes to be named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and was listed as a Senior CLASS Award candidate for the second year in-a-row. Additionally, Bloznalis excelled in the classroom as she became the program's first two-time United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American.

Heilferty was invited to the U.S. U-18 National Team training camp in February and competed at the U-19 La Manga 12 Nations Tournament before taking the pitch for a pair of games against Switzerland's U-19 team. For both tours, Heilferty was the lone player from a non-power five conference to represent the U-18 WNT.
