CENTRE VALLEY, Pa.
– Following leading all scorers in each of BU's opening Patriot League games, senior guard Payton Hauck
has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday.
Hauck started off the week with a 14-point effort in BU's 63-51 victory in its conference opener versus Army West Point at Case Gym on Wednesday. Connecting on 6-of-11 from the floor, Hauck chipped in eight points in the third quarter as the Terriers outscored the Black Knights 18-7 in the frame en route to pushing their record at home to 5-0.
The York, Pennsylvania native followed with another lights-out performance at Bucknell, scorching the Patriot League preseason favorite for 20 points and hauled down six rebounds. Hauck was deadly once again in the third quarter, netting nine points as the Terriers took a 15-point advantage heading into the fourth. BU would hold on for the 70-62 triumph, notching its first win against the Bison in nine tries while also earning its first victory at Sojka Pavilion.
