BLOOMFIELD, Conn. - The Boston University women's golf team posted an opening-round 303 at the Hartford Hawks Invitational on Friday at Tumble Creek Country Club and will take a 20-stroke lead into Saturday's final round.
Freshman
Amy Han led the 49-golfer field on Friday with a 2-over 74 while junior
Christy Chen and sophomore
Annika Manjunath are part of a three-way tie for second at plus-3 after both shooting a 75.
Junior
Victoria Takai shot a 7-over 79 and sits in a tie for seventh while classmate
Meiqi Gao posted an 80 and is tied for 10th.
Competing as individuals freshmen
Madison Takai and
Hibiki Adachi shot an 83 and 85, respectively
BU has a 20-stroke lead over Holy Cross and Siena, who are tied for second at 323, in the nine-team tournament.
