Three Terriers Named Hockey East All-Stars

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Three members of the Boston University women’s ice hockey team were honored as Hockey East All-Stars, the league announced at its annual awards banquet held on Friday night.

Sophomores Victoria Bach and Rebecca Leslie were chosen as Second Team All-Stars while junior Alexis Crossley was an honorable mention selection. Both Bach and Leslie had career seasons a year removed from All-Rookie Team selections while Crossley shined in her first season on the BU blue line to help BU advance to the league semifinals for the ninth straight season.

Bach, the 2015 Rookie of the Year, is in the midst of her second consecutive 20-goal season. She finished the regular season with 20 goals and a career-high 23 assists for 43 points, with four of her 20 markers proving to be game-winners. The Milton, Ontario, native was tied for 10th in the country in goals and tied for 14th in points. Bach notched a hat trick at Merrimack on Nov. 20 and also recorded a four-point game against Ohio State on Nov. 29.

Leslie also had a career-high 43 regular-season points thanks to 11 goals and a career-best 32 assists. She was tied for sixth in the country in assists and also led the NCAA with four shorthanded goals. Nobody in the nation had an assist in more games than Leslie, who helped a teammate score in 23 different games. The Ottawa, Ontario, native recorded two goals and three assist for five points on Nov. 3 against Yale.

Crossley was one of the top defensemen in the league during the 2015-16 season. She finished the regular season with seven goals and nine assists for 16 points as a plus-nine player. The Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, native collected a pair of game-winning goals and secured a two-goal game against Merrimack on Jan. 30 in addition to her duties of going against some of the best forwards in the conference.

BU will face off against Northeastern in a Hockey East semifinal contest on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
