Bach Named Hockey East Player of the Week

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Senior Victoria Bach, the nation's leading goal scorer, was named Hockey East Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Bach was brilliant in two games this past week. She scored four goals in a game for the second time this season during the Terriers' 5-2 win at Yale on Thursday. Bach then followed that with a two-goal, one-assist effort at No. 8/10 Providence on Saturday, including a sensational shorthanded strike. She now leads the NCAA with 23 goals this season.

The reigning National Player of the Month, Bach was the only skater in the country to score two goals in two different games this past week. She leads the NCAA with three hat tricks and no other player has recorded more multi-goal games (six) this season than Bach. In addition, an impressive 87 percent of her goals have come at either even strength or while the Terriers are shorthanded.

BU will return to action on Dec. 30 when the Terriers begin a two-game series at Princeton.
