March 14, 2017 | Men's Ice Hockey
Forsbacka Karlsson had a hand in all three goals in Saturday's 3-2 win, scoring the Terriers' first goal before assisting on two in the third, including freshman Chad Krys' game-winner with 24.9 seconds left in regulation. He excelled on both ends of the ice, holding Northeastern's potent offense in check while winning 32 faceoffs and blocking four shots over the two games.
A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Forsbacka Karlsson ranks third on the team in points with 31 on 13 goals and 18 assists.
This is the second time this season Forsbacka Karlsson has claimed the weekly award as he earned the nod on Jan. 9 after tallying five goals over the course of two wins. He shared this week's honor with Boston College senior Austin Cangelosi.
