BOSTON - Boston University's Department of Athletics gathered on Monday evening for the annual Student-Athlete Awards Banquet at the George Sherman Union Grand Ballroom. In addition to the traditional awards, the first-ever Rhettys were handed out thanks to a collaboration with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

- The emcees for the evening were seniors Rachel Blauner and Bridget Conway from the women's soccer team
- Women's cross country and women's tennis tied for the Team GPA Award with an impressive 3.52.
- Athletic director Drew Marrochello announced that seniors Charlotte Castronovo (WLAX) and Jake De Vries (MTEN) will be the recipients of the Aldo "Buff" Donelli Award for Leadership at the 2017 BU Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony, which will be held next fall.
