Terrier Twelve - #12: Three-Point Basketball Milestones

July 11, 2017

For the 10th straight year, GoTerriers.com will once again count down the top 12 achievements of Boston University teams and student-athletes from the previous year. Check back each Tuesday and Friday as we reveal this year's Terrier Twelve.

Coming in at No. 12 in this year's Terrier 12 is a pair of 3-point milestones from men's basketball's Cedric Hankerson and women's basketball's Sarah Hope.

Hankerson erupted for a school-record ten 3-pointers against Syracuse at the Carrier Dome on Dec. 10 en route to a career-high 34 points.

The rising senior's performance tied the Carrier Dome record for threes in a game, as he became just the third player to hit 10 3-pointers against the Orange.

Sarah Hope etched her name in the women's basketball record book with her 245th career 3-pointer at Bucknell on Feb. 18, breaking the previous mark set by Chantell Alford '13. Hope, who earned a spot on the All-Patriot League Second Team, went on to finish her career with 253 triples.

Additionally, her 88 makes from beyond-the-arc this past season rank No. 2 all-time for the single-season 3-point record.
