The meet will begin on Saturday with the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon (9:15 a.m.). Field events are scheduled to begin at noon with the men's pole vault while the first track event will be the men's 60m hurdles at 2pm. The action will continue on Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m., with the women's high jump and conclude at 4:30 p.m., with the women's 4x400 relay.
The women's team will be looking for its third PL championship in five years. BU will be led by sophomore Leah Fowlkes, who has the top time in the 400m dash (55.87), the third-best 200m time (24.77) and the fifth-fastest mark in the 500m dash (1:15.66).
Senior Tehya Noell enters the meet with the best conference time in the 60m hurdles (8.47) and the best long jump (5.92m, 19' 5.25") while freshman Cecelia Gerstenbacher has the second-best time in the 200m run (24.71).
The Terriers also have the second-best time in the 4x400 relay with a 3:49.18 mark that was set by Jordan Coverson, Gerstenbacher, Fowlkes and Carissa Stots at the BU Season Opener on Dec. 2.
On the men's side, the Terriers will once again be led by sophomore Paul Luevano who enters the meet with the fastest conference time in the 3000m and 5000m runs. Luevano is the defending Patriot League champion in the 3000m run.
The BU men will also look to several outstanding sprinters over the weekend as sophomore Chiebuka Onwuzurike and senior Cameron Nurse have the top two times in the 200m dash, respectively, while freshman Nikolas Smith is the No. 1 seed in the 400m dash with Nurse again second.
BU should also score well in the 4x400 as Nurse, Haig Rickerby, Smith and Onwuzurike set the top 4x400 time in the conference (3:13.18) back in December.
Is addition, senior Jason Biesma will enter the heptathlon as the No. 2 seed after breaking the BU record with 4926 points at the UConn Multi Event Challenge back in December.
