FULL MEET RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Boston University men's swimming and diving team finished in fourth place at the Patriot League Championships, totaling 406.5 points after the four-day event.
Navy won its 15th straight league title in 15 years of competition at the Patriot League Championships, winning by over 200 points. Bucknell just edged out the Terriers for the third spot by 4.5 points, while BU finished 120 points ahead of fifth-place Loyola.
The 400 free relay team of
Trevor Winans,
Quinn Smith,
Matt Traub and
Judson Balding closed out the meet with a third-place finish, clocking in at 2:59.56. BU's relay teams highlighted the four-day championships as the 200 free team of
Quinn Smith,
Judson Balding,
Matt Traub, and
Jake Goroshko also picked up a third-place finish on the third day of action, while Winans broke the 200 free record in leading off the 800 free relay on the opening night of competition.
Winans earned the highest individual placement with a fourth-place finish in the 200 free and also claimed a fifth-place finish in the 500 free.
Cameron Schoffstall and
Garrett Chin also took fifth overall in individual events, as Schoffstall earned the mark in the one-meter dive and Chin clocked his best finish in the 200 back.
Additionally, BU picked up a point in the Turnpike Trophy as it surpassed Holy Cross to improve to 9-4 in the 2017-18 rivalry series. Winans was named the Turnpike Trophy MVP.
