FULL MEET RESULTS

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Boston University women's swimming and diving team finished in fifth place at the Patriot League Championships, finishing with 385 points after the four-day championship meet.

Navy ran away with the title, finishing ahead of Army West Point by 336.5 points to capture its seventh straight Patriot League title and 17th in the last 27 years. Lehigh finished 25 points behind the Black Knights to take third and Bucknell finished ahead of the Terriers with 423 points.

Grace Anderson capped her outstanding senior season with her second gold medal of the four-day championships, touching the wall first in the 1650 free with a time of 16:54.32. Anderson also led off the 400 free relay team with Sydney Lee, Erin Nabney and Julimar Avila, guiding the squad to a third-place finish at 3:22.45 and picked up an individual third-place finish in the 200 free. The senior shattered two two school records as well, setting the 200 and 500 free marks.

Carly Soares also etched her name into the record books by setting the 200 breast mark with a time of 2:15.63.

Anderson became the first swimmer to win two titles at the PL Championships since Stephanie Nasson ('16) won a pair in 2014.

Carly Soares was the lone other Terrier to earn an individual medal as she finished third in the 400 IM on the third day of action.

BU also picked up a point in the Turnpike Trophy as it surpassed Holy Cross to improve to 9-4 in the 2017-18 rivalry series. Anderson was named the Turnpike Trophy MVP.
