Wilson Named to Tewaaraton Watch List

March 1, 2018

NEW YORK - Senior Jack Wilson of the Boston University men's lacrosse team was one of 50 players named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, as announced on Thursday night.

Wilson has been terrific for the Terriers this season. He is currently on a 48-game point streak in which he has tallied 79 goals and 49 assists for 128 points. This year, Wilson has started every game at attack and has scored eight goals and five assists for 13 points. He has notched at least two points in all five games this year, including a trio of three-point efforts. All eight of his goals have come in the last four contests. Wilson has also gathered eight ground balls.

This is the third straight year that a Terrier has been of the 50 men named to the initial watch list. Cal Dearth earned that honor last year and Sam Talkow was the first BU player to receive that recognition in 2016.

Players not named to the initial lists have several opportunities to play their way into a spot as the season progresses. Watch list additions, if applicable, will be announced on March 22 and April 5. On April 26, the field will be narrowed to 25 men's and 25 women's nominees. Nominees can be players on the watch lists or players not on the watch lists, effectively allowing for a third round of additions.

Five men's and five women's finalists will be announced on May 10 and invited to the ceremony. The 17th annual Tewaaraton Award Ceremony will be held in Washington, D.C., on May 31.

BU will be back in action on Saturday, March 3, when the Terriers travel to Air Force.
