After winning the individual title at the Patriot League Championship, freshman golfer Hanako Kawasaki has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Kawasaki won her second tournament in as many weeks and third tournament in just nine starts thanks to a 54-hole score of 222 (73-76-73). During Sunday’s final round, she sank a crucial birdie putt on 17 to maintain her lead and help BU claim the team title.
The first rookie to ever win the Patriot League tournament, Kawasaki is just the second Terrier to ever win three tournaments in one academic year.
