In his three years as a 6-foot-3 forward-guard on the Terrier basketball team, Randy Cross dominated the court. He won both the Athlete of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards in 1964.

Cross led the team in scoring in all three years as a Terrier. He averaged 18.2 points per game in his sophomore season and was named to the All-New England second team. As a junior, the Fort-Lauderdale, Florida, native led then-head coach John Burke's club to a 16-7 season, hitting 56 percent of his shots from the floor and raising his average to 19.0 ppg. He was named first team All-New England and District One.

He captained the 1964-65 squad to a 10-10 record, scoring 18.9 points per game and pulling down 13 rebounds per contest. He finished his career with 691 rebounds and 1159 points.

A high honors graduate of the Wheelock School of Education, Randy holds a master's degree in social administration from Temple University.
