The Terrier wrestling team improved its career record to 28-0 versus the Boston College Eagles with a 29-12 victory in ECWA action at Case Gymnasium on February 18.
With the win, the Terriers raised their record to 7-5-1 (4-2-1 in the ECWA), while BC dropped to 3-8-1 (0-5).
The night started in exciting fashion, as B.U. freshman Ed Strauss (Macungie, PA) earned an 8-6 overtime decision over Boston College's Pat Purcell in the 197-pound division.
B.U. won six of the next nine matches, including forfeits at 125 and 133 pounds. Highlighting the Terrier victories were major decisions by junior Malik Elliott (Park Forest, IL) at 149 pounds and freshman Chad Grant (Eaton Rapids, MI) in the 184-pound weight class.
Head Coach Carl Adams' Terriers host the Harvard Crimson in their final dual meet of the season on Saturday, February 19 at 5 p.m. on "The Roof".
