Terriers Fall To Sacred Heart, 22-13

Jose Leon defeated Dare Ajibade in a major decision, 25-10, at 125 pounds, but the Boston University wrestling team fell to 0-2 in the East Coast Wrestling Association with a 22-13 setback to Sacred Heart on January 13.
Ali Abri and Ed Strauss also earned victories for the Terriers, who have been beset by a rash of injuries and are missing nine wrestlers from the starting lineup. Abri defeated Derek Venne, 8-6 at 197 pounds, while Strauss earned a 5-4 decision over John Miller at heavyweight.
The Terriers lost a six-point swing at 133 pounds when they were forced to forfeit that weight class because of injury. Zack Emond lost a hard-fought battle with Jay Monroe at 165 pounds, 3-2.
