Consistent Carr Earns Third Rookie Of The Week Award

Carr, who also earned the award on Nov. 18 and Dec. 17, had a game-high 17 points along with five rebounds in a 70-56 Terrier win at Hartford on Jan. 7. He then added 11 points in a 62-50 home win over Binghamton on Jan. 10, and then contributed with 15 points and five assists as the Terriers drubbed Stony Brook, 90-54, on Jan. 12.
Carr is second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.4 points per contest, and second in assists, with 40. In conference play, he leads the team with an impressive 18.2 points per game average. He is shooting 48.4 percent from the floor in league games (31-for-64), and 85.2 percent from the free throw line (23-for-27).
He is also second on the team in three-point shooting, making 36.5 percent of his long-range shots (19-for-52). Along with junior forward Billy Collins (Concord, NH), Carr has been one of the most consistent players on the team, scoring in double figures in nine of B. U.'s last 10 games.
Among America East Conference leaders, Carr is 10th in scoring (12.4 ppg), 10th in field goal percentage (47.5 percent), and 8th in free throw percentage (77.4 percent), and 12th in assists (2.35 per game),
Carr and the Terriers return to action at Northeastern on Sunday, Jan. 20, in a game that will be televised locally on WLVI-TV, Channel 56), and as part of the ESPN Full Court package. Game time at the Huskies' Solomon Court is 2 p.m.
