Men's Swimming Defeats Vermont, 219-43

Boston, MA - The Boston University men's swimming and diving team won all 16 events en route to a dominating, 219-43, victory over the University of Vermont on January 25th. With the win the Terriers improve to 3-1 in the America East Conference and 3-4 overall.
The Terriers opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:141.65. Senior Doug Mark (College Point, NY) won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:31.11 and junior Ryo Takano (Elmsfor, NY) took first place in the 200 freestyle to propel B.U. to an early 41-5 lead. Takano was also victorious in the 500 freestyle, finishing the race in 5:06.35.
Freshman Ryan Falk (Sarasota, FL) also had an impressive meet, winning the 200 breaststroke in 2:21.61 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.32.
Sophomore Victor Paquia (San Juan, PR) took first-place in the 3-meter diving event and the Terriers won the 200-freestyle relay in a time of 1:30.00 to close out the scoring.
