Rutgers Wrestlers Defeat Terriers, 26-9

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers University won eight of 10 matches against the Boston University wrestling team en route to a 26-9 win on Saturday, Feb. 1. Junior Leighton Brady (Tulsa, Okla.) and sophomore Joey Rivera (Stroudsburg, Pa.) each won their matches against the Scarlet Knights.
B. U. led, 6-3, after two matches against Rutgers, thanks to Brady's win by fall at 165 against Scott McAdoo. Rutgers then proceeded to win the next six matches to take a 21-6 lead. Rivera broke the Rutgers string of wins with a 5-3, overtime, decision over Jon Rodriguez at 141.
The Terriers (11-3, 7-2 CAA) next wrestle at Stroudsburg on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m.
