Brady Earns CAA Wrestler Of The Week Honor

BOSTON - Boston University junior Leighton Brady (Tulsa, OK/Tulsa Union) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Wrestler of the Week. Brady, wrestling at the 165-pound weight class, won both of his matches last week to improve his overall record to 11-1 in dual-match competition.
Boston University (11-3, 7-2 CAA) dropped two matches last week. The Terriers lost for only the second time in eight CAA matches when they fell, 22-14, at Drexel on Jan. 31. The next day, they fell at Rutgers, 22-9.
Brady's 2-0 record last week included a 7-5 victory over Drexel's Matt Brienza, the fourth-ranked 165 in the CAA. He also pinned the Scarlet Knight's Scott McAdoo 3:51 into their match.
Brady is currently ranked second in the CAA among 165-pound wrestlers.
The Terriers, currently in fourth place in the 11-team CAA, next compete at East Stroudsburg University in a non-conference matchup in Stroudsburg, Pa. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m.
