Wrestling Finishes Fourth At CAAs, Three Qualify For NCAAs

HEMPSTEAD, N. Y. - The Boston University wrestling team finished fourth in the CAA Wrestling Championship on Saturday, March 8. Three Terriers finished in second place in their respective weight classes, qualifying for the NCAA Championship in the process.
Jason Holder fell, 16-5, to Hofstra's Jon Masa in the first-place match at 149. Leighton Brady was defeated, 4-1, to the Pride's Noel Thompson in the 165-lb first-place bout. Ed Strauss, wrestling at 184, lost in the first-place match to Hofstra's Brad Christie in a tight 1-1 tiebreaker.
Holder, Brady, and Strauss will each participate in the NCAA Championship at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Mo. on Thursday, March 20 through Saturday, March 22.
