Wrestling Leads Division I Programs in APR
September 2, 2006 | Men's Wrestling
BOSTON - The Boston University wrestling program earned a perfect score of 1000 in the NCAA's Academic Progress Rating (APR), which was released in March. BU joins Lehigh as the only two schools among the 84 Division I programs to graduate all of their recruits during the two-year span (2003-04, 2004-05) that was used in the data.
The wrestling team received the highest score among the eight BU men's programs that were included in the calculation.
The APR scores are used by the NCAA to measure an institution's academic performance and whether or not a school is meeting a minimum APR standard set by the NCAA at 925, roughly equivalent to a 50 percent graduation rate over a five-year period.
