Wrestling Defeats Campbell at CAA Duals; Falls to ODU, Mason

FAIRFAX, Va. - The Boston University wrestling team faced three conference opponents on day two of the CAA Duals at George Mason on Saturday, posting a convincing 37-6 victory over Campbell before falling to Old Dominion, 37-6, and the host Patriots, 31-11. The Terriers now stand at 3-3 on the year with a 3-2 conference mark.
Sophomores Carlo Ferrandino (141) and Mike Roberts (149) were each a perfect 3-0 on the day. Ferrandino was particularly sharp, posting a fall and and technical fall. Freshman C.J. Inglin earned a pair of victories at 157.
Against Campbell, BU broke a 3-3 tie with six straight wins en route to the 37-6 victory. Roberts' 3-2 victory over Old Dominion's Kaylen Baxter forced a 6-6 tie four matches in, but the Monarchs dominated the rest of the way, winning the final six bouts. Inglin forced an 11-11 tie in the Terriers' dual with Mason, but the Patriots swept the last four matches with four bonus wins.
The Terriers will return to action on Friday, Jan. 26, when they visit Drexel for a dual match at 7 p.m.
