Waresmith, Watson Earn AE Diver of the Week Accolades

BOSTON - Swimming and diving's Tess Waresmith and Andre Watson have each earned America East Diver of the Week honors, the conference office announced on Tuesday. In an exhibition meet on Saturday afternoon, both athletes took top honors on the one- and three-meter boards.
Watson, the 2008 America East Male Diver of the Year, started the season earning first with scores of 304.50 (1M) and 349.53 (3M), respectively.
Waresmith, the 2008 America East Female Diver of the Year and seven-time AE Diver of the Week in 2007-08, continued the Terrier dominance of the diving events by winning both the one- and three-meter, scoring 299.93 and 310.95 points, respectively.
The Terriers kick off their season on Saturday, Oct. 18 with a meet against UMass at 1:30 p.m. at Competition Pool.
