Four Terriers Place at ASICS University & FILA Cadet Nationals

AKRON, Ohio - Eight members of the Boston University wrestling team competed at the ASICS University & FILA Cadet National Championships, held on April 10-13 at the Stile Field House at the Universtiy of Akron. Four Terriers placed in Greco-Roman in their respective weight classes, including juniors Carlo Ferrandino and Mike Cubillos, who qualified for the University World Team Trials.
Ferrandino and Cubillos faced off in the fifth-place match at 70 kg, with Ferrandino posting a 6-0, 2-0 victory. The top six at each weight automatically qualified for the University World Team Trials.
Freshman Freddy Santaite placed eighth at 55 kg, while classmate Dan Kennedy came in eighth at 79 kg.
Junior Jim Connors, sophomore Ryan Buff and freshmen John Hall and Matt Morgenstern also competed at the event.
