
Ferrandino Places Second at World Team Challenge Tournament

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Rising senior Carlo Ferrandino (Niskayuna, N.Y.) placed second at 66 kg/145.5 lbs at the University Greco-Roman Challenge Tournament on May 24 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center as part of the World Team Trials. Ferrandino fell just one win short of qualifying for the World Team Championship Series.
After a first-round bye, Ferrandino posted a 1-1, 3-6, 5-0 victory over Eli Hutchinson of Boise State to reach the Challenge finals, where he faced former Northern Illinois wrestler Chad Vandiver. Vandiver recorded a 6-0, 5-0 win.
In three seasons with the Terriers, Ferrandino has compiled an overall record of 56-28.
