BOSTON - The Boston University swimming and diving team has remained busy during the summer months with student-athletes competing on the local and national stage, including incoming freshman Kristen Connors, who appeared at the 2008 Olympic Trials.
Connors competed in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, and posted a lifetime best in the 200 with a time of two minutes, 34.41 seconds.
Nine other BU swimmers represented various local clubs at the New England Open last weekend at Harvard. In all, the Terriers scored over 735 points, swam 26 lifetime bests and earned five first-place finishes. Matt Rickett won every event he entered and narrowly missed the Olympic Trials cut in the 100 fly by 12 one-hundredths of a second. Eve Kinsella, Maria McIntyre and Arik Seiler also turned in lifetime bests at the four-day meet.
