
Wrestling Posts 40-8 Victory over Harvard

BOSTON - Behind eight individual wins, including four falls and a major decision, the Boston University wrestling team posted a convincing 40-8 victory over Harvard on Saturday evening at Case Gym. Senior Mike Roberts (149), junior C.J. Inglin (165), sophomore John Hall (197) and freshman Hunter Meys (174) all pinned their Crimson opponents to help the Terriers even their record at 4-4-1.
In addition to the falls, junior Abbie Rush posted a 13-5 major decison in his match at 141. Redshirt freshman Dan Kennedy (184) edged Patrick Ziemnik, 6-4, and senior Jim Connors closed out the dual at 285 with a 5-1 triumph over Andrew Knapp. To open the match, freshman Ryan Dowd (125) won by forfeit.
The Crimson, who dropped to 1-8 on the year, got wins from fourth-ranked J.P. Connor at 149 (16-1 technical fall) and senior Thomas Picarsic at 133 (6-5).
The Terriers will return to action on Sunday (Feb. 8) when they face Binghamton for a conference dual that will take place at Shenendehowa High School in Clifton Park, N.Y. The match will begin at 1 p.m. Meys graduated from Shenendehowa last spring.
