
Three-Time State Champion Signs NLI with BU Wrestling Program

BOSTON - B.J. Suitor, a three-time Michigan state champion, has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) with the Boston University wrestling program, as announced by head coach Carl Adams on Wednesday. Suitor will join the Terriers as a freshman for the 2010-11 season.
Suitor is ranked fifth in the nation at 119 pounds by USA Wrestling and will be attempting to earn his fourth state title at Swan Valley High School this season. He became the first wrestler in school history to capture a state crown as a freshman in 2007. Currently ranked second in Michigan Division III wrestling and third overall, Suitor is one of 10 Blue Chip seniors in the state.
He enters his senior year with a career record of 181-2 and is a three-time county, conference, district and region champion. Suitor was named an All-American at the 2008 Disney Duals and was also an all-conference honoree in cross country.
A two-time team captain, Suitor currently holds a 3.6 GPA at Swan Valley and is a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council and the Model United Nations.
Suitor, who is one of six children and a native of Freeland, Mich., is projected to compete at 125 pounds for the Terriers next season.
