
Holland Named to the NABC District I First Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Sophomore John Holland was named Wednesday to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) District I first team, as voted on by member coaches of the organization. One of 240 student-athlete from 24 districts, Holland is now eligible for the State Farm Coaches' Division I All-America teams to be announced on Saturday, April 4, at Hoop City in the COBO Center at 10 a.m. as part of the 2009 NABC Convention in Detroit.
District I consists of teams from the America East and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The third leading scorer in the AE at 18.0 ppg, Holland was joined by Vermont's Marqus Blakely, Rider's Ryan Thompson, and two members from Siena, Kenny Hasbrouck and Edwin Ubiles.
